ART TNEET EXHIBITION

Last month I had the amazing opportunity to join my boyfriend and his friends to visit there very own exhibition in which they had put on in central Leeds, the exhibition titled "ART TNEET" that may stand out from the film I created earlier this year "ART TNEET: Harley Roberts". The exhibition focused on Barnsley artists who are now based within Leeds and the works in which they have created over the past few years, without being biased it was an amazing set up.

From entering the exhibition it was packed full with people and it was quite funny as 99% were actually from Barnsley, from all angles all you could hear was "ARR MUCH?!" (drink prices were pretty high for us northerners!) Drink in hand we headed upstairs to be met by so many incredible paintings, poems and exhibition pieces, one that stands out most to me was an old TV with expanding foam breaking through the screen, an old sofa and table covered in beer and cigarettes

Most art pieces were conventianly surrounded around our small mining community I. Barnsley, Through the 'ART TNEET" film we discussed a lot on how Harleys art work and how he's fascinated by the way people act in everyday life within our town, taking certain aspects and giving them a higher level of appreciation. This is something that was prominent not only within Harleys work yet within all the other art work, you camn see how the community and town have engrained itself upon there work, it was quite a beautiful experience to see the contrast of works yet see there similarities that are drawn through Barnsley town.
