DANNY BOYLE VISIT MSOA

The day that we had long been anticipating, for me the day i'd be longing for since I first started filmmaking almost 7 years ago, for me Danny Boyle always stood out, through his incredible films (Trainspotting 1 & 2, Slum-dog Millionaire, 28 Days Later, 127 Hour, The Beach, Steve Jobs and many more ) I grew up on these films and hearing his name in most social situations, when our tutor told us Danny Boyle was visiting us I don't think i'm exaggerating to say I almost fell off my chair.

Originally it was said he was just visiting Manchester School of Art as a whole, as he was looking into beginning to lecture film, he wanted to come and observe the different courts and filmmaking, On the day his visit "MOVE film collective" met up in our studio space and began discussing how he was visiting, at this point another tutor ran into the room explaining he intact wanted to come and personally meet us as a production company to see what we had been doing. You could see hundreds of beady eyes light up in anticipation and excitement, Danny Boyle wants to talk to us? he's interested in our company? our films?! We decided to set p a quick meeting before he came down to briefly discuss what we would go over with him, we then discussed how we had press tickets that we could start giving out, this was an amazing opportunity for us, so we set out to go print Boyle a press ticket to our film festival on 10th June 2019.

Upon his arrival to the class he introduced himself and what he's currently working on and then asked us to go around the room and introduce ourselves, we then went on to discuss with Boyle the outline of the course, what we do and how far we have come, we discussed our production company as a whole and what we intend on doing, discussing fundraising, the degree show and the festival, Boyle gave us some greta advice on Press, Fundraising and our company on a whole, this was an amazing opportunity for us all, did speak directly with Boyle when discussing th over-all outline of "MOVE film collective" and he seemed really impressed with what I had to say, it was such a humbling experience.

Following our meeting that lasted around 20/30 minutes we presented Danny Boyle with a press ticket to our film festival at HOME cinema, he seemed delighted to have been asked to attend, although he explained his new film was been released in a Australia around the same time yet he would do his very best to attend, we then had the opportunity to have a photo with him, for me this opportunity was incredible, its everything i could have asked for at were so lucky at MSOA that we have contacts alike Danny Boyle and that he recognises us as a production company.
