After creating the trailer for my film I decided it was within my best interest to create an Instagram page for my films, as until this point I had been uploading images and updates on my films via my personal instagram account, I realised this wasn't working for me anymore as my personal account has modelling, photography and much more. I started out by starting an Instagram account and titled it "anya cinnamon flicks". On here I started uploading stills from previous films and adding synopsis to them, this was in order to begin building an online film portfolio other than Youtube and Vimeo.
I began adding other film accounts and to my surprise I got quite a high number of followers to what I'd expected within 24 hours, accounts such as 'you film it' and 'made good films' this was such an inspiring moment for me and really showed me how separating my regular social media and filmmaking social media really can help. I've made two main story's titled "PREY" this is where I've uploaded my crowd funder page on go fund me and updates of my newest film and the story "MEMBRANES Press" this is where I upload updates on the press and reviews on our music video. I will be continuing to add information and updates on my newest film "PREY" as much as possible, I'll be releasing the trailer online on the 3rd may 2019, this is something I'll be continuing to do throughout my filmmaking career and hopefully move onto other social media accounts.
For em creating social media accounts is something exhilarating to find a new platform in which I can show my life work to other people and hopefully inspire them to do the same is such an incredible feeling. Sharing these things really help boosting confidence especially when receiving such amazing feedback on films and recently my new trailer for "PREY", a comment that tickled me allot on my trailer was "Amazing trailer, os that already out? I'm sure I saw it advertised yesterday on Bee TV on fire stick under HD releases", it was quite heartwarming for people to already think my work had made it that far with just the trailer other feedback I got on this trailer was "I think this is really impressive, very powerful word and imagery. The introduction is moody and hooks you in very quickly and then your taken to a different setting, you could actually watch it several times, picking up new elements each time. I though each setting was visually clear, even in the darker settings, never changes in the scenes e.g. looking over your shoulder, Vocals were very clear to listen to also, I'm very impressed, can't wait to see more". This comment really boosted my confidence and gave me a big boost to go out and continue sharing about my film.
